Year Round Fun...
The Winter and Summer pages have covered all the seasonal, skiing, beach and lake activities. On this page we’ll point you to all of those other places and things that you might want to consider doing at any time of year - perhaps when it’s snowing too heavily to ski, or the sun just isn’t shining enough for the beach...
Incline is home to many “Full-Timers” and so has virtually everything you need... Surprising for such a small mountain town !
Movies
Always a good standby when skiing isn’t a good option or if the rain will not let up... Incline Village has a small movie theater just a short walk or drive away near 7-Eleven at Village Blvd and Hwy 28. The movie selection is limited but usually up-to-date. Visit the website here.
There are also small cinemas in Tahoe City; Northstar and Heavenly at South Lake Tahoe. If you want a larger choice of current movies, then take a trip to either Carson City or Reno. The panel to the left has links to many options.
Bowling
Do you like to bowl ? Incline has it’s own lanes here on Southwood Blvd. It’s also a good place for billiards and has an indoor golf simulator.
There are also bowling lanes in both Carson City and a multitude of options in Reno.
Sports and Fitness
Your first and most comprehensive option for fitness activities, racquet sports and the like, is the Incline Village Recreation Center, located here, on Incline Way.
There are also numerous more specialized gyms and fitness studios that are close to the condo and may offer guest memberships. See the panel to the left and map below, for a selection.
Swimming
You have two options if you wish to swim in a pool rather than the lake. The Incline Village Recreation Center, located on Incline Way has an indoor pool available to the public. If you prefer an outdoor pool and the weather is suitable, then the pool at Burnt Cedar Beach is the other option.
Ice Skating
Incline Village does not have it’s own ice rink. If you wish to skate you do have some nearby options... Heavenly; Northstar and Squaw Valley ski resorts all offer seasonal rinks during the winter months. Please see the Winter page or the panel to the left for links. In the summer Northstar’s ice rink become a roller-skate rink. Year-round ice skating is only available in South Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe Sports & Entertainment South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
Casinos
As a Nevada city Incline Village has legal gambling. Indeed, many people visit just to spend their time at the tables or feeding the one-armed-bandits (slot machines). You’ll find slot machines almost everywhere - even in Raley’s grocery store. But, if you want the complete “Vegas experience” then you need to visit one of the many full-blown casinos.
Incline Village has it’s very own Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort at the end of Country Club Drive, near Lakeshore Blvd.
The other favorite casino spots are at the two California-Nevada borders: North-lake at Crystal Bay and South-lake at Stateline. The big-name casinos will all be found in Stateline, while the Crystal Bay casinos boast a colorful past and links to Frank Sinatra and his infamous Rat Pack.
An extensive list of local casinos is provided in the panel to the left. Some, but not all, offer a “Sports book” where those of you who wish to bet the horses or the game can indulge.
Reno has perhaps the most “Vegas like” casinos. However there are far too many to list - so please see this search.
